Who We Are

The Oral Roberts University Educational Fellowship (ORUEF) is a professional service organization dedicated to serving Christian schools. With headquarters in Tulsa, OK, ORUEF currently serves Christian schools both in the United States and around the world. ORUEF provides support services as well as collaborative and networking opportunities to Christian preschools, elementary, and secondary schools, leading to improvement and growth in Christian schools worldwide.

ORUEF seeks to instill within member schools an enthusiasm to be responsible and reputable leaders in the field of education: professionally, academically and spiritually. The goal is to strengthen Christian schools while enjoying the friendly exchange of ideas and dialogue among Christian school leaders, teachers, and staff. Membership is open to all interested Christian schools who subscribe to the Purpose of the Fellowship and the Statement of Faith.

The purpose of ORUEF is to provide services and support to Christian schools throughout the world by providing resources and encouragement leading them in continuous spiritual development, academic quality and credibility, financial stability, and mission fulfillment.

Our Purpose

Our History

ORUEF was established in 1983 by Oral Roberts University (ORU) to provide services to PK-12 Christian schools, especially those with a Pentecostal/Charismatic distinctive. At that time, there were no other associations that provided services specifically to that part of the PK-12 Christian school community. Though non-profit organization legally separate from ORU, ORUEF works closely with the ORU College of Education, conducting Christian school conferences and providing professional development and consulting services to ORUEF member Christian schools.

From its humble beginnings and an original membership of about twelve Christian schools, ORUEF has grown to a membership of over 100 Christian schools in 17 states and 13 countries. From the outset, the ORUEF has sought to provide valuable services to member Christian schools and teachers both in the United States and internationally which would promote growth and improvement in member Christian schools.
